HEALING TEAM
Jane Caplan, MD
As a Harvard trained psychiatrist and psychotherapist, I am deeply grateful for my teachers and mentors at Brigham & Women’s hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess hospital, and the former Massachusetts Mental hospital for my adult psychiatry training and Massachusetts General hospital and McLean hospital for my child and adolescent fellowship training. Since that time, I have worked to integrate psychotherapy with the neurobiology and psychology of trauma in order to heal the body, mind and spirit. In 2018, I became interested in ketamine’s potential for use in therapy and attended the 2nd KRIYA conference. Immediately it became apparent that there was value in its ability to get underneath defense mechanisms in a way that was not possible without a drug, or at least not without a lot of time and money spent on therapy. It then became my mission to treat trauma differently and more efficiently than had ever been done before. My experiences working in Hawaii, lead me to understand the unbreakable connection between the self, nature and universal energy. I was then formally trained in the Usui-reiki system of natural healing. The true heart of CAP Healing is the therapy team, all highly skilled clinicians and deeply evolved people. We recognize that we are privileged to participate in your healing journey and with the deepest respect we honor you with our ethics, confidentiality and compassion for the human condition.
Angela Baluyot, PMHNP-BC
Throughout my life's journey, I have developed a deep passion for exploring our connection with universal energy, nature, the science of psychology, and alternative healing modalities. Overcoming personal obstacles and traumas has fueled my immense interest in these fields. Through my own process of self-discovery and healing, I have come to appreciate the significance of sharing my knowledge and expertise to support others on their healing paths. I believe that making even small impacts on individuals can collectively contribute to global healing.
Professionally, I have accumulated over 6 years of experience in healthcare, initially as a registered nurse before advancing to become a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. My career has spanned diverse settings including medical/surgical, wound care, cardiology/progressive care, home health, private duty nursing, hospice, and psychiatry. These experiences have exposed me to a wide range of vulnerable populations and situations, deepening my compassion for others.
I am privileged to have connected with Dr. Jane Caplan and her practice, where we share aligned missions and values. As I continue to grow both personally and professionally, I am grateful for Dr. Caplan's mentorship, which enriches my knowledge and strengthens my ability to support you on your healing journey.
Brandi Luedtke, PHD
I am a Clinical Psychologist and Consultant whose main interests include working with those impacted by trauma exposure and PTSD and in the development and dissemination of scientific-based mental health interventions.
I received my undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University and my master’s and Doctorate degrees at the University of Indianapolis. I completed my doctoral internship at the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center and have spent over a decade in clinical, research, and leadership positions at one of the largest PTSD clinics in the United States. In addition to this, I served as a consultant lending my clinical expertise in trauma-related disorders to develop various couples-based interventions and retreats, including working with Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and American Sniper’s Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.
My passion lies in teaching, training, and supervision in addition to clinical work. I have trained and supervised over 100 clinicians in Cognitive-Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD and have obtained provider status in several other effective PTSD treatments, such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and MDMA-assisted psychotherapy. I maintain my own personal meditation practice and have research interests in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies. I aim to continue to bring the best quality of mental health care through my work with the CAP Healing team and innovative partners.
